I had a few people take a quick glance at today’s ET front page. Then asked them to guess the brand.

• 2/3 guessed Kajaria Tiles
• 1/3 guessed Tata Capital (& Kajaria as the 2nd choice).

What a massive (no additional spend) win for these two brands.

So, the next time you think marketing folks are overpaying for premium placement, think again.

Strategic placement is a huge part of getting ROI from your branding budget.

The actual ET ad, of course, is for Himalaya Wellness Company.

Next is another recent pic I took.

DAO Mgr is on Product Hunt, but it’s advertised on the back of an auto. Most techies I know are sitting in the back of cabs when commuting, busy on their devices (or WFH, but I digress).

What’s the ROI here?
Is this the optimised use of mkt ??

I urge you to go back to your marketing channels and ask these Qs.

Of course, if I’m way off the mark, I’d like to learn from marketing folks “Why?”
