Rakesh mama’s advice

6 September 2007 at 5:27 pm | Personal

It’s happened too often in my life. When I’m down or stressed out. Too often, Rakesh mama* comes to my rescue with his cool headed advice and calming effect on my psyche.
This is what I had to listen to today …

rbachhawat: if you say you have a problem it is always a good sign since you already know the problem and hence there will be a solution.

*mama (Hindi) = maternal uncle

anomalizer: if you know why you have a problem it is always a good sign since you already know what needs to be fixed.

I say that because quite often, the time it takes to figure that something is wrong is far lesser than it take to articulate what is wrong. Eg: I’m having a stomachache, easy to figure. I’m having peptic ulcers, takes much longer to figure.

I agree with your logic too.
Thats the entire idea … knowing about the ulcers gets you so much closer to a solution that just knowing about a “stomachache”

It’s almost as if “knowing” and “what” and “how/why” are different phases of the same problem-solving process.
