The right software for the right markets

I’d rather make a small software for a big/generic market or a big software for a small/niche market.

The worst position is trying to sell a very small software (small feature-set, small part of the client’s installed software base) to a very small niche market.

I hope any enterprising software developers remember this when they do the initial market research before developing their applications.
(Not doing market research? Are you nuts!)
