Finally!
A detailed, zoom-friendly mapping service for India!

It doesn’t do driving directions (yet!).
However, even the idea that such a service is available online and for free is definitely a good thing.

A warning though, this service isn’t the best in terms of getting addresses right.
(It searches for Lavelle road correctly, but not for Vittal Mallya road).
Also, according to this website, it is Bannirgatta and not Bannerghatta road.
Hmm, whom to trust, 24 years of being a Bangalorean (AND google) or them?!

They seem to look towards making this a more commercial service by selling mapping based adverts (shops near your search area, etc) - as long as the advertisement keeps it free for my use, i’ll live!
